Add a Product

Introduction

A Product is a service item, such as a membership (e.g., "Once-Off Donations"), with an associated cost. To use a Product, it needs to be added to a Subscription. If there is no Product added to a Subscription, there will be a notification under Subscriptions prompting you to add one.

Step1. Add a Product

  • Navigate to Finance-Products.

  • If you are a new client, click on "Add Product".

  • Click on "Create"

Step 2. Provide details for your Product

  • Name: Name your Product anything you want.
  • Product code: This Product code will
  • Unit name: Your unit name is only used for internal purposes.
  • Unit label: Your unit label will feature on your financial documents.
  • Accounting code: Your Accounting code will feature on your reports and exported queries. This field is not mandatory to fill in.
  • Is Active?: If switched on, you will be able to link this product to a Subscription. If your products is marked as Disabled, your Product will not be visible to select when trying to link to a Subscription.

  • Provide the Pricing details for your Product.

- Currency: This is a mandatory field. Choose your preferred currency or click on Manage Currencies to add another.

- Price (Incl Tax): This is a mandatory field. Indicate what the price of you product is including tax here.

- Fixed Pricing: Check this box to make your Product price Fixed which makes the price unchangeable when adding this product to a Subscription.

- Fixed quantity: check to make the quantity fixed.

- Membership Product: When enabled, the paid-up date of an Account's Membership will be calculated when the product is paid for.

- Pricing Type: Select between a "Recurring" or "Once-off" product type.


  • Click on Save
