Configure Automatic Invoicing from Payment Method.
- You can now configure invoicing to be created and sent out through the payment method.
- When a subscription is added to the member profile, the Document section will automatically be configured for Invoicing.
- Invoice will be created after each payment and the invoice notification will be logged under "Sales and Purchases" in the member profile.
- Invoice notifications will also be logged under "Messages" when the invoice was emailed.
Step1. Navigate to your Payment Methods
- Navigate to Settings-Finance-Payment Methods
Step2. Configure Invoicing in Subscriptions
You can edit any of your Payment methods.
- Enable invoice payments: If you tick this box, the payment method will be available as an option when paying an invoice, sales order or quote.
- Subscription Default Document Type: Select to add invoicing to your subscriptions automatically.
NOTE: You can select the default invoice template, or you can manage them by clicking here
(Also as a side note, you can do the same with SMSs, if you select the SMS invoice template section, an SMS will be sent out with the links to download the invoices)
Step3. View and Edit Subscriptions
So when you have enabled the above settings in the payment method, you can now check on an account view, and edit the subscription and you will notice that the Document type is set to Invoice on this subscription.
