Users can now re-use a member number for accounts that have been deleted before.
This change enables the allocation of membership numbers out of sequence while adhering to established business rules for auto-generation of account numbers.
The system now allows the addition of a manually entered member number as long as it follows the established format specified in the business rules.
The manually entered member number may not exceed 1 ahead of the last auto-generated member number counter.
Auto-generated account numbers will continue counting from the last auto-genereated member number.
The system checks for duplicates to prevent issues.
Impact:
Users can efficiently manage member numbers without disrupting the auto-generation sequence of new account numbers.
