Set up Clickatell as an SMS provider
Set up Clickatell as an SMS provider.
Clickatell is also an SMS gateway and can be used in SwitchTransact.
Step1. Sign-up for an Account

Step.2 Dashboard or Workspace
Once you completed the sign-up you can log in and are presented with a Workspace or Dashboard.
Step3. Buying Credits
First, you need to update your billing information, see below:
Click on your name, in the top-right corner and select Billing and Payments.
After you provided the billing information, you can click on the TOP-UP tab to finish the purchase.
Step4. Setup the API and Event SMS Channel
In your workspace-SMS channel, Click on "New SMS Setup"
Select API as the first option and select "One-way" for messaging, click on Next
Select One API and select "Create a new One API", Next
Type any name for this SMS channel. When you get to "Setup Type" you need to select "Production" (Sandbox is only for testing purposes, and for this presentation guide, but the settings will be the same for "Production").
Enable the API Notification, and use the following URL in the "Enter target address"
https://app.switchtransact.com/api/1.0/clickatell/status
This is used to track the SMS events on the system.
To complete you need to click on NEXT, where you will be provided with an "API KEY" This key needs to be used in SwitchTransact when you create your SMS Provider.
Step5. Create the Clickatell SMS Provider in SwitchTransact
Navigate to Settings-Messaging-SMS, and click on Create
Select the Clickatell Provider from the Provider drop-down.
Give it a name and paste the API KEY that you got from the Clickatell platform and paste it in.
